In this question do not try to show that it’s because you really need a job, show that you have exceptional skills that match so well with the job you are being interviewed.
Do not rush to answer this question, let the employer see that you have just thought of it right there and do not mention specific figure, its better to mention a range. But make sure it’s not too high or too low.
With this question do not say you have none. You can ask a question like how has the company been rewarding extraordinary performance of its employees, you can ask how soon you will start the job if considered.
